GDNF or Glial Derived Neurotrophic factor Human ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay Kit) is an in-vitro enzyme linked immunosorbent assay that measures the quantity of Human GDNF found in plasma and cells culture supernatants. This assay may not detect the human GDNF concentration in plasma.
The assay uses an antibody that is specific for Human GDNF and coated on a 96 well plate. The immobilized antibody is applied to the wells of the plates and the GDNF in the samples and standards are pipetted into them. After removing any unbound biotinylated antibodies, HRP-conjugated Streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. After washing the wells, a TMB substrate solution can be added to the wells. The amount of GDNF bound to the color will affect the development of the color. The Stop Solution changes the color to yellow and measures the intensity at 450 nm.
Derived Neurotrophic Factor Hu GDNF ELISA quantifies Hu GDNF levels in serum, plasma and cell culture media. This assay can only recognize natural and recombinant Hu GDNF. The microplate has wells that have been pre-coated with the target-specific antibody. The wells are then filled with samples, standards, and controls that bind to the captured (captured) antibody.
After the sandwich is made, the second (detector-antibody) antibody is added to the wells. A substrate solution reacts with the enzyme/antibody-target complex and produces a measurable signal. The intensity of the signal is directly proportional to the target concentration in the original specimen. Each lot manufactured by this ELISA kit has been quality tested for sensitivity, precision and lot-to lot consistency.
